Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly hails from North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. With a deep passion for family law, Ashley's present legal practice focuses on various aspects of family matters. She focuses her practice on divorce cases, alimony disputes, marital property division child custody battles, and child support arrangements. She also handles post-divorce enforcement and post-divorce issues including step-parent adoptions as well as private adoptions for parties as and concerns regarding child welfare. Ashley has served as a mediator appointed by a court since the year she assists parties in helping to resolve their issues without need for litigation and court involvement. Ashley mediates private cases and also court-appointed mediation for those who wish to avoid litigation and court processes.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. Then, she pursued her legal education through Western New England University School of Law. She graduated in 2013 and was ranked among the top 10 students of her class. Ashley was an Editor of the Notes at the Western New England Law Review during her time in law school. This demonstrated her commitment to scholarship and research in the field of law.

Ashley began her clerkship after completing her law degree. She worked for distinguished jurists from Connecticut and Maryland. She had the privilege of serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott at the Connecticut Appellate Court. Then, in 2014, she returned to her hometown of Hagerstown to work as a clerk for the Honorable M. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. as an associate attorney. Her primary role in the firm was to represent the Washington County Department of Social Services on cases which involved child welfare. Through her dedicated efforts, Ashley played a vital role in assisting children who were victims of neglect or abuse at from their parents or caregivers. Her dedication to social justice went beyond the legal realm and she was active as an officer of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force, working diligently to educate the public about human trafficking in the tri-state area.

In 2017, she was a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., and developed her practice in family law - divorce, custody and child maintenance, as well as guardianships and financial and estate planning, wills, trusts, power of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxy and mediation.

Ashley established Wilburn Law Office, LLC, 2023, with the goal of providing an individual approach to each client's need.
